I posted this before... and the only reply i got was are you overclocking...

This happened when i reached the level "cooler"
This is the level where you start in an elevator and the 2 big rocket launcher trigen are within 20 feet of you.

Heres My Problem:
Once i reached this level TONS of weird black dots started appearing all over the screen. On my gun, on the walls, on enemies, EVERYWHERE!

When i reached this level i realised i WAS overclocking the game. Therefore i went to advanced graphics options and click "auto-detect" I also HAD my screen settings too high.
I reset that too the real size of 1024x780.

I am a SUPER computer n00b, all i know how to do is play the games.

If no one knows how to help me could someone at least please tell me if there is like a tech support thing for FarCry.

Thanks for your time and i hope some of you computer smart people can help me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Overclocking means you are driving your CPU or Video card at a faster speed than the factory defaults by changing the voltage going to that componant.
What you were doing was overtaxing your system by running the game at a detail level the CPU and vid card could not handle.
Back off on the graphics settings in the game and maybe lower the resolution. Without knowing what your computer has in it, I cannot tell you what to expect.
Read some of the "sticky threads" at the top of this forum for tweaks and other hints.

looks like a form of artifacting/snowing as the result of an overclock... if it isnt, id suggest trying a few different WHQL drivers, steer clear of the 56.72's if u've got an fx 5900 series card. get the latest 61.72 WHQL's of www.guru3d.com (http://www.guru3d.com)

thanks very much for everyones feedback this time.

When my dad gets home, he'll know how to do all the stuff you've suggested.

Thank you all once again!
