I'm not a good pilot and an even worse shot but after a year of flying missions and campaigns, I decided to give online a try. Wow, what a completely different experience flying against people instead of the computer. AI pilots never made my hands shake or my heart race like this. I'm hooked! Where can I find more information on multiplayer?

Welcome to the addiction!

First, like a package of cigarettes, I have to warn you.. You should quit now before it's too late. Online flying is so darn fun, it should be illegal!

Now that we got that out of the way... I recommend downloading HyperLobby client and using that.

You can find lots of dogfight servers and cooperative missions nearly 24 hours a day. There is such a wide variety of servers to fit anyone's taste; with/without cockpit, with/without padlock, etc. I am sure you will find what you like there.

Dont be afraid. No one will bite you here. But, be prepared to be shot down a lot at first. It's OK, you will learn and have fun all at the same time.

For the most part, this community is a very informative, well mannered group (With the odd exception) I am sure you will enjoy it here!

Have fun and dont be afraid to ask questions here and in HL (Hyperlobby)!

Salute!

Have a browse through SimHQ's air combat library (http://www.simhq.com/_air/acc_library.html), it includes a lot of good information on tactics.

Fun, ain't it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

..also, if you're after immersion, I'd heartily recommend participating in an online war like VOW (although I think this is only open to squads now). You also get comprehensive statistics for your endevours.

To a lesser extent, you can get the same service from scripted dogfight servers like greatergreen, i.e. proper objectives, historical planesets and statistics recording.

Cheers, SSS
