Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommendedÔ.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

Is the float-fighter version of the N1K1 (the 'Rex') being included as well? The airframe and cockpit should be the same as the 'George' and the float attachments would be similar to the 'Rufe'.

I have enough trouble seeing the genuine ground targets without it being made even more confusing.

Oh by looking at the decoys I can see that Killjoy finally found a job as a modeller.

Very nice to see the Dauntless Dive bomber included guys.
As a Historical event mission builder my plane set for the pacific theatre is complete with aircraft carriers included as well!

Very Nice!

What are the differences between the F4F and the FM-2 Wildcat? I see that the F4F was built by Grumman and the FM-2 by GM, but were there significant differences between the two?

Actually it reminds me of a dog. I forget the name but it is the dog that Pappy Boyington owned in the old "Black Sheep Squadron" TV series. Meatball was it's name.

The F4F had a Pratt & Whitney radial, the FM-2 had a Wright radial (some with water injection). The FM-2 was a little faster with a much better climb rate. The F4F had 6 machine guns, the FM-2 had 4. The FM-2 had a taller tail than the F4F. There were other differences as well, but there are the most obvious.

They look so bad it makes it look crappier then its worth having to me personally makes the game look very poor having ground decoy objs that look like that.

..thanks for that contribution leadspewer - I look forward to seeing your decoys instead of the 1c version...I'm sure you are working on them now.

As to the update - Thanks to 1c for providing them on a weekly basis - the SBD looks great.

I still hope to see an LSO one of these days..

I hope we get some F4F-4s too. Forget all the stupid late war planes, I want more wildcats!
