Looking for walk through help for a novice! I can take off ok , stay in the air ok, but don't know where i"m going! I look at the briefs and missions , but I don't see a heading to where to go.
Is there a map while flying? Also , what's the padlock for? And last of all what joystick is a good one to use. Thanks

Take the time to browse <a href= "http://mudmovers.com"> Mudmovers<a/> site.

also try this: in realisim settings make sure that map icons and minimap path are on. this will help you find your waypoints.

hehe, that brings me back to some of my first problems when I started out... hit m to get the map.
If you plan on flying luftwaffe then I'll forestall your next enquiry: hit shift+F1; if you have no clue as to what I'm writing that for you must not have flown with the cockpit on yet /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Someone already posted about how to bring up the inflight map, and believe him when he said to enable the minimap path in the settings. Padlock is a representation of the pilots ability to turn his head and keep his eyes on his target, as long as that target is within natural limits of head-turning and aircraft visibility. It's a little hard to get used to, since you're no longer looking straight forward, and if you're not careful, vertigo can get you. To use padlock in FB, an enemy (or friendly, if you use Shift+F4) has to be within a certain, relatively close, distance to you. When you padlock him (hitting F4), your eyes stay locked on him as long as he is somewhere you can turn your head and eyes to see him. Very useful for those close in furballs. Hope this helped!
