i have NO intentions of this becoming an AI debate. so dont start! but maybe a new concept "could " work?

what if OLEG added a new screen to all aircraft with multiple gunnery stations? this screen would incorporate a value system where you had to divide said value amongst all gunners before you played?

this TOTAL value would have to be divided amongst the total of gunners you have.

lets say 100 value... divide by nine stations..(as a simple example..not perfect by any means)
but a check/balance would prevent you from ever going above a certain limit for any perticular gunner.

this way you can have a wide array of gunnery skills in your ship. maybe a strong tail/underbelly skill..while sides and top are weaker, or vice versa.

just a thought. maybe if we find a workable solution, oleg would approve?

Don't get discouraged, regardless of the topic newbies typically get ignored by the big time posters ! Been there, done that, got the Tee Shirt and it's already in the rag bag ! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

It'll go over like a lead zeppelin.

i really think thats a great idea...

i think it would be an awsome system to incorperate.

It'd be a great feature to have, but similar requests have met a 'not possible' type response in the past.

It would be nice just to be able to set 'pilot' and 'gunnery' skills seperately for any AI unit. And different fields of vision for different stations. And different ammo counters for AI gunners... but of course, none of this is 'free' performance or footprint wise.

Maybe something for BOB.

Anything that'll prevent headshots is a great idea! Only actors like headshots, real soldiers don't!

It would be interesting but for now youll have to settle for just being able to set different AI levels for individual planes... I think that includes gunners on the bombers..
