Hey, Oleg, or whomever might read this...

One of the things that has always bugged me about the way the virtual cockpit worked in IL2 has been that the pilot's viewpoint has always rotated as if the pilots head were an infinitesimally small point in space. ie. If you turn your "head" to look over your shoulder, your viewpoint will still originate from exact same place as it would if you were looking straight ahead.

A real pilot's head has depth, with the neck being the point of rotation, and the eyes being situated on the front of the face. When he turns his head to look back there is also lateral movement.

If this were implemented in game we'd have a better angle to see back around the armor plates in most planes, as was intended. eg. the FW had an adjustable headrest/armor plate that allowed for additional room to see around it from either the left or right side, depending on which the pilot prefered.

Perhaps even a slight leaning movement could be added to this effect so that we can look back behind our head rests a bit better?

An example of a sim that already features this behavior is TargetRabul, and it would be most welcome in IL2, PF, or even BoB if we have to wait that long for it.

Thanks for your time.
