While making scripted campaigns, I found that even though I set player to be in the lead plane, in campaign mode unless the highest rank is chosen, he is not in the lead.

It is incorrect that the highest ranking pilot will fly lead. Also, many ranks other than the highest can lead a flight of four aircraft. In campaign mode, as a captain, or major, you still do not fly lead. Is this a bug?

thanks

Unfortunattely it´s no bug at all. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

It used to be even worst, a patch, don´t remember which, corrected the fact that a pilot with a inferior rank would lead your flight.

Thats bogus. Its unrealistic a colonel will be leading every flight. I am finishing an Italian fighter pilot campaign and have adjusted the rank structure so a capitano is the highest rank, but still now anyone who chooses the highest rank can;t get promoted. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
