Lately I have been on a pacific fix, now how come no one seems to have early war pacific servers? I'd like to see a full real dog server with the early zeros, P40Es, and P39s. Would anyone else be interested in a server like this?

Come to think of it, how about some early med servers too? Would be fun with 109 Es and Fs, with spits, hurries, and P40s.

I would, only thing is that without the Grummans it would feel like the BoB missions in FB with Hurri's and no Spits... just something missing. Still worth flying in the interim though.

As for early Med, don't forget the Gladiator! My squad does a really fun "Malta" co-op sometimes, Faith, Hope & Charity http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

There was a mission in the Warclouds TOH server that pit A6M2s and He-111s(as Betty stand-ins) vs. P-40Es and B-239s. Tons of fun. But they retired it, dunno why, maybe wasn't that popular. Anyway, I used to fly a B-239 there with a USN skin.

Now they only have a 1943 PTO mission that pits A6M2s and 5s vs. P-38Js and P-40Ms, still fun but the early PTO one was better IMHO.

Up until late April 1942, 17 P40-E fighters of the 75th Squadron Royal Australian Air Force was the sole Air defence of the Crucial Port Moresby Area in the New Guinea Campaign, in the South West Pacific.
They faced over whelming Japanese Air Superiority, which included Zeros of the Tainan Wing of the IJNAF, with Saburo Sakai amongst them.(based at Lae Airbase)
We have hosted a DF server in the past using the Kuban Map to simulate the Owen Stanley Ranges in New Guinea.
Right up until early 1943 the only Allied fighter aircraft to see action in this Area was the P40-E and the P-39.
The exception being the Wild Cats that saw action from US Carriers during the breif Battle of the Coral sea engagement, and they where well out to sea no where near 75th Squadrons Operational Area.

So you can actualy have a Historical DF server with only the P40-E versus AM62, or P40-E + P39 versus AM62 using the Kuban Map to simulate Terrain.
Here is a link to our web site that has a History page Link to this actual Battle Area, for the benefit of anybody considering making a Historical DF server.

TOH warclouds still runs the AM62/"bettys" vs p-40's/Brewsters pacific scenerio. Lots of fun! especially when blue side has skilled bomber pilots with escorts. Bagged at least 3 bombers and a half dozen zero's yesterday on it. GJ warclouds!

Did anyone see that or was it just me?

The past week twice I jump in the Pacific 1941-43 server and what a blast it was. The pit is locked with really tight icon settings for the full realers. It had ships and staionary planes to attack along with dogfighting. Very nice server with alot of nice guys mainly from europe.
