Great pic' it's a 1944 yak 3 , but looks like it has a merlin installed going by the prop and the lower half of the cowling looks similar in profile to a hurricane .

Yep, Simpson is absolutely correct. It's a Yak-3, same plane as we have in game. There's no way you took that in Reading PA a year ago, last year it was flooded out. We went anyway, but I had water up to my ankles! Theres' no way that was last year.

You thought it was other Yak. You said it was built in 1997. Is it replica? If it is so, who builds replicas, do they produce it now and what other a/c they make?

lil_labbit

Yak 9-U
http://www.shadetreeusa.com/yak9.htm
ShadetreeUSA make them.. The best. and the 04 was built there.

http://www.shadetreeusa.com/yak9pho.jpg

The price of an Yak9-U goes around 350 000 $ Much cheaper then a P51.

They really are quite beautiful planes when you see them for real.

Smaller than you would have thought and really sleek.
