We're pleased to announce a new key feature for our Community Hub - Downloading Maps from the site to the platform you play the game on!

In order to take advantage of this feature, please follow these instructions;

Step 1

Please go to our Community Map website HERE (http://www.farcrygame.com/maps) and log in with your Uplay account. You can then browse the site to find the website you'd like play.

Step 2

Find the map you'd like to play and click the "Add it to your in-game favourites" button.

Step 3

Once the map is added to your favourites, you can then find it in your favourites tab in game.

You are then free to play the maps found in your favourites tab at any time in the future.

We hope that you all enjoy playing some of the fantastic maps which can be found in the map browser.

Awesome, Thank you! I was disappointed when it didn't do this earlier :(. A few things:

Could you please show 6 or more rows instead of only 3? There is so much non-mapping content on that webpage that it looks like the back of a game box :/. Text and Logos everywhere
When I click "< Map List" to go back, it resets the search and page number. It should go back one step to the page I was on, from the search I performed.

Really nice feature. Thanks

It is a nice feature but there is one big problem here, we are either looking through page after page of maps in hope that we find something good - Usually this can go on the map picture - see a nice pic, download and prey that it's a quality map.

Or we are typing in random map names and seeing if anything shows - like a guessing game.

We can NOT search by Creator which is what we need, If I find a good map I generally look at other maps by the creator and if the other maps they have put out are quality I would check back once a fortnight or once a month.

If we had this option it would help a lot, same for Search for map by those on our Friends List - most mappers worth their salt will get others on their FL so this would be a super way to keep up with anything new created (The option is in the game but never worked from day one)

Other than people posting in a Far cry Fan Site or knowing people that recommend a map to us (example - online friend) it is just as hard to find Quality Map makers (New Names) as it is as hard to find New Quality Maps.

It should be a lot more popular than it is (This website / database with maps on show) but around 95% of the Far Cry Community has vanished over the years from Instincts / FC2 / FC3 to FC4

Hey everyone!

Glad to hear that you're all enjoying the feature. The feedback that's been provided (regarding number of visible maps and searching by creator name) have been passed on to the web team and should we hear anything about it we'll let you all know.
